Reviews
Let me start by saying i was a hair model for root touch up. Maybe a regular customer would get different treatment, which hasn’t been the case in most salons but maybe here they do. Reached out to Noah through an ad on salon apprentice. He was very responsive and i got an appt for the next day Sunday at 1045am. When i came in i was greeted and taken my jacket. Then i sat down with Noah and the teacher, she asked for my name and tried to say it a couple times and the last time she said it she said “good enough” LOL. WTH! I understand my name isn’t easy but first time I’ve heard that. The teacher’s demeanor was ok, but not the friendliest. They went through what they are doing with my hair, and to get color throughout my hair it would be an additional $10 but just my roots it would be base price. He colored my hair fairly quickly. While i sat there another stylist put her items in my area (large lemon water, glasses, hair spray). I was never offered a drink (water, coffee, tea) and i didn’t see any outlets on the area in front of me, luckily i brought a charger for my phone. And i had the color for 40-45min, probably a bit long IMO but i didn’t time it. The best part of my experience is Maribel, the lady who washed my hair, amazing, so kind, and excellent experience. After that, Noah blew out my hair, he asked me where i part my hair but didn’t ask if i wanted to straight or wavy. Blow out was well done. At the end he also told me he was going to take a picture and didn’t ask me. I was fine with taking a picture but would’ve been nice to be asked. And when i paid i was told cash only which i had but wasn’t told that ahead of time. Overall good experience but those little things would make it more enjoyable. Again, maybe bc i was a model- hope they are more attentive to their customers because I’m sure they’re paying a pretty penny.
The area is clean and the employees are very nice. I had my hair cut and Kerastese treatment . My hair looks much more healthier and has a cool style. You can also get appoinment, or walk in.
My stylist Eda has professional suggestions and does her job well😊
My only minor criticism is that they charged regular price from my card, even though I showed the first customer discount. Either renew the discount on the website or pay attention. Anyway, I recommend this place!
Francois is my stylist. I saw him yesterday. We have known each other for 20 years. We’ve gradually changed my look over the years.
I adore him. He listens! I walked out of there feeling gorgeous♥️
He’s a wonderful man and I have trusted my husband to him ☺️
I needed a haircut while in NYC for a couple of weeks and happened to find Salon Ziba. The salon was in a great location, very clean, and all the staff were professional and kind. I had my hair cut by Eda who was so wonderful. She really listened to what I wanted and helped guide me as well with options and her opinion. Wonderful experience!
My stylist Melissa was amazing! She had been working at the salon for 25 years. I was in New York, New York for a wedding, and she styled my hair, and also did my makeup for the event which was at the Metropolitan Club. I was very happy with her work. I highly recommend her, and Salon Ziba. Thank you again Melissa!
After too many prior chemical treatments resulting in hair damage at other salons, I had left my hair unkempt for over a year and was overdue for a highlights touch up and haircut. When I went to Salon Ziba I expressed my concern about experiencing further hair breakage and the staff took careful note of it, advising that they can give me the balayage that I want and still keep my hair strong. I loved the end result of the highlights and hair trim that the stylist, Byron, gave me! He has a very creative eye and great attention to detail. The color is very multidimensional and my hair feels very healthy after the treatment. I'm very happy with the overall experience at the salon. Wonderful stylist and staff and a very clean and inviting space with beautiful, bright natural lighting.
This is a review for Ramona Ilea, who did a PHENOMENAL job with my blowout today. I have always wanted to try beach-wavy hair but have been scared because I did not want to add more volume to my hair. She was able to blow dry it into a sleek style and add gorgeous beach waves to my hair without making my hair look too voluminous (which is what I wanted). She was meticulous yet efficient. I felt amazing for the first time in a long time. And as a testament to her work, a random man on the street approached me shortly after and said I looked beautiful and asked me out lol.
It is always stressful to try someone new, but Laila & I discussed exactly what look I was going for, for my cut & my blowout. It was perfection, she got what I was saying, addressed all my hair issue concerns & executed them beautifully. Laila is professional & talented & I felt I was in good hands, & I was!
